I like to drop Linux systems into the networks I support to provide me functionality analogous to Swiss army knife. Once I have one in place a have a system that can provide me remote access, run custom code (including all of Joy Automation's libraries), provide diagnostics, and send data out for monitoring.

The goal of Squid is to provide a platform for running the tasks I commonly need with these systems remotely via it's GraphQL API, dedicated web interface (squid-ui), and via MQTT Sparkplug B (using Synapse).
